- Ready to mix and mingle with more fellow PCHers? Well, the perfect opportunity will be right after the mentorship orientation at our Westwood Dinner Social!
- Rather than a GM this week, we will have a Holy Family Health Fair Volunteer Orientation this Thursday (23rd) from 5PM-6PM in Ackerman 2412, and it is required for you to be able to participate in the health fair, so don't forget to attend this orientation if you were not able to make the last one. This orientation is of course in preparation for the Holy Family Health Fair, which is taking place on Sunday, October 26 8AM-2PM. This health fair is a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to see firsthand how PCH and other orgs can make a difference in community health on a local level!
Happy Week 3, PCHers! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Here are a few events coming your way that we hope you can participate in!
Well helloooooo there all you people of PCH (or prospective members)! What's up? Your first week went well? Hope you've all been starting off the new school year awesomely. Because we still have much more to do!
But now, to catch you up on all of the recent goings-on...
Last week...on...PCH events:
Aaaand much more! If you need more info, check out our newsletter! That's about it for now, don't want to overwhelm you guys too much on only your second week.
Anyway, hope you all have a great week, and see you soon!
Hello, hello, fellow PCHers, new members, seekers, and anyone and everyone who is reading this!
Welcome (back) to UCLA, to PCH, and to the new school year! We hope everyone had a wonderful summer of rest, productivity, vacation time, and adventure time!
But now it is time to go back to school,
I hope you're as prepared as this little bunny here!!
Now for a few announcements:
That's it for now, we HIGHLY look forward to seeing all of you at our first general meeting. Bring your friends, roommates, floor mates, and whoever you can think of who might be interested in joining. Until then, have a great week!
Special shout out to the performers and participants of this weekend's SPCN. Great job you guys!
Hopefully everyone used this past three day weekend to refresh, rejuvenate, recharge your batteries, and catch up on sleep like these two bunnies over here!
We have 2 weeks left until FINALS, get yourselves energized, ready to study, and of course, take part in the last PCH events of the quarter!
To those of you who are still trying to get active membership for Spring Quarter, PCH is putting together many opportunities this week for you to do just that!
Until next time, good luck with your studies! :D
What's up PCH?
We have made it all to week 8! Are you exhausted? Don't you wanna just crash on your bed and sleep like this cute baby panda over here?
Hopefully, everyone is finding time to rest and recuperate before and after midterms! Sleeping is just as important as studying, because, well, how can you take your midterm without the energy you get from resting the night before? (:
Have a great week :D
We were also given a tour of UCSF last weekend by our kind alumni, Antonio Moya! Thanks, of course, to Antonio and everyone who was able to come. We got to see much of the UCSF medical school facilities and network with other medical students. Overall, it was a great experience and hopefully one of many more graduate school visits to come!
Don't forget to come to general meetings and keep yourselves updated on other weekly events at PCH. Have an awesome week!
What's up PCH?
We are halfway done with the quarter, summer is coming! are you looking forward to it as much as Olaf is? :D
It's halfway through spring quarter and summer's almost here! With the sun shining and the weather warming up, it must be hard to get motivated to keep those grades up and get those active membership hours in! Not to worry though, because we're here to remind you about all the support PCH can provide for you to keep you energized and inspired to do you best!
What's happenin' PCHers?
If you weren't able to come to the Medical Outreach Banquet, here's a look at one of the videos we played. This video contains highlights from our FIRST MEDICAL MISSION to the Philippines, just last year. Take a look!
We highly encourage you all to join in this year's medical mission this summer. In collaboration with the Filipino American Health Workers Association, we will be going to Mindanao in the Philippines to help with continuing Typhoon Haiyan relief efforts and just provide basic medical attention abroad. If you're interested, contact our Medical Outreach directors, Isabelle and Ingrid, for more information!
It's application season. Summer jobs and opportunities for the new academic year are opening up! Speaking of new opportunities, PCH STAFF APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN. Being on PCH staff is a great way to become a leader in the community and get more involved in the behind the scenes processes that make PCH such a successful organization. All positions are open, so ask current staff any questions you have about being on staff. Applications are available here.
To help you prepare for the application process, this week's GM will feature interview skills. Interviewing is commonly the most feared part of applying to anything: jobs, schools, leadership opportunities. Come by this Thursday, at Ackerman 3508, from 6pm to 7pm, to get all the information you need to succeed!
Best of luck to all of you!
