Originally from the Bay Area, I am a 2nd year, majoring in B.S. Anthropology. In my free time, I love to garden, dance, read, and do yoga. I love learning about mindfulness, holistic health, and anything to do with the "zen lifestyle." :). I am also an avid fan of aromatherapy, essential oils, and natural medicine (yes, basically, I am a modern hippie). What I love most about PCH is that there are so many opportunities for you to reach out to other communities, while strengthening your own sense of community. Also, the people here just have the biggest hearts, even without trying. This quarter I participated in the FPAC festival, the Holy Family Health Fair, and multiple Senior Smiles Sites. :)
Major: Physiological Science
Hobbies: Playing guitar, singing, watching Grey’s Anatomy, eating Sour Patch Watermelon, playing basketball and tennis, What I enjoy most about PCH is giving back to our community together as UCLA students. I really enjoy meeting new people and working with them to achieve. This quarter, I went to FPAC and the recent health fair. These two events have really solidified my positive experience with PCH, and I look to be even more involved in the coming future as I have also done my blood pressure training. Also, shout out to my mentor, Katrina, because I really love having her as my mentor!
The first panel of the school year was amazing! PCH would again like to thank our three guest speakers Jetrina, Justin, and Robi! We learned a lot from hearing about their experiences on their journey to becoming future doctors!
If you would like to get in contact with any of our panelists, their information is down below!
Jetrina Maque, UCLA (DGSOM)
Justin Devera (UCI)
Robi Bucayu, MS2 (UCI)
We were able to inform our service recipients of their blood pressure levels and their Body Mass Index value!
Our members were celebirty struck as they got to meet Apl.de.ap from the Black Eyed Peas, Josh Chan from Crazy Ex-Gf, Rayna from Vampire Diaries, and Roshon from Camp Rock!
