Here are some upcoming events for this week: Senior Smiles Sites Wednesday, February 10, 3-5PM; Friday, February 12, 3-5PM @ Westwood Manor Come join us in visiting the seniors of Westwood Manor! Let's bring smiles to their faces! Sign ups should be done the day/night before the site you visit. If you need to cancel, please give notice at least a few hours before the site (no last minute cancellations please). *NOTE* you must go to orientation first in order to volunteer at this site. Or still stuck in the middle of a never-ending stream of tests and papers? Join two of your Staff Assistants, Jasmine and Katrina, for some study hours on the hill! Come study with us, or even rant about how your quarter is going if you'd like - we’ve got your back. We’ll also have snacks, so hope to see you there!! Week 6 GM-- Perspectives with Medical Outreach, Preventive Health, and Senior Smiles! Thursday, February 11, 5-6PM @ Kerckhoff State Room 131 and 133 Come learn more about PCH's community outreach components! Hear about the reasons behind our medical missions, why we hold hypertension sites, and the purpose of our visits to the elderly! In addition, hear about ways that YOU can get involved in these components and the impact that you can make on the community! Bake Sale Friday, February 12, 10AM-2PM @ Bruin Walk We will be selling cute and sweet treats for an early Valentine's Day Bake Sale. Come out and support PCH and fulfill your fundraising requirement for active membership, or just come hang out with your awesome staff members!Sign up for shifts here! Health Site Saturday, February 13, 8AM- 2PM @Seafood City Supermarket at Carson Even if you aren't trained, you can still help us on our endeavor to raise and prevent awareness by recruiting community members to come to our station, take valuable statistical information, as well as give and screen for Body-Mass-Index, a service which we can train you for personally. Rides shall be provided to and from UCLA. We have space for 6 volunteers. Please sign up as soon as possible at the upcoming general meeting, or sign-up here.*FYI* If you are able to take yourself to the location, you are still very much welcome to join and sign up! We'll be a more effective team! Also a few announcements for PCH members: PCH General Member T-shirts pick them up @ any GM from now on or contact Jasmine The PCH shirts have come in and they look amazing! Please contact Jasmine with the following email [email protected] to schedule a time to pick up a shirt if you pre-ordered and cannot make it to GM. Note that we will be giving priority to pre-orders so if you want a shirt and you did not pre-order you will have to wait until all the pre-ordered shirts are taken.
